The ski bird feeder hanger is a new item that took some serious ingenuity to create…..and I’m willing to share my knowledge. This dude can be created and installed in about 10 minutes….from me to you….enjoy!

Grab a pair of old skis. Hold one ski in each hand. The ski in your left hand….put it down… you don’t need it. You should still have a ski in your right hand. If you don’t..start this process over until you have one remaining ski in your right hand.

Next….chop that Ski in half. I used a kids sized Blizzard. But any ski will work….

Drill 4 few holes in the rear of the ski. (2 holes would probably work but I have large cats that like to ‘walk the plank’ in order to attempt to catch the birds.)

Drill one hole in the tip of the ski to attach the Bird Feeder. I used and Eye bolt to hang the bird feeder.

Then attach the actual ski wherever you like using the 4 holes you drilled. (1″ 1/4 wood or deck screws will work perfect)

Sit back on the patio and enjoy. Your neighbors will be jealous. Luckily you still have one spare ski so you can make them one as well.

This chair has been sitting in my outdoor showroom (my patio) for about 6 months. It has endured snow, rain, hail and countless hours in the sun. The skis top-sheet started becoming oxidized, similar to an old car, showing water drops and appearing to fade.. I searched everywhere on-line for a solution but all you get is how to clean and wax the bottoms…for obvious reasons. So I decided to experiment myself and found that using a little rubbing compound then some simple car spray-on wipe-off wax brings them back to looking like new. This is the first time I have had this problem….it really depends on the type of ski and the material/finish they used for the top-sheet. The K2 FOURr’s did not have a glossy type finish when new. I would be hesitant to apply this method to skis or snowboards with a shiny/glossy finish (test in a small area first..as they say). But if we’re talking old skis on a ski chair…its a worth a shot. From me to you……
